Law Offices in the Great American Building (Cincinnati)

Client: Turner Construction

A proven commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
It’s because of Midwest Construction’s commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork that John Cissell, Senior Project Manager at Turner Construction, has repeatedly worked with Russ Thomas and his team for the last 10 years. And those qualities also led him to bring in the Midwest team to complete interior finishes for a prestigious law office in the Great American Building in downtown Cincinnati. The work spanned 61,000 square feet on three floors of high-end office space.

“I would give them a 9+ out of 10 on this project. Midwest had a strong commitment to a very compact and aggressive schedule for this project. Given the complexity of the layout, material selections, and working logistics (high rise construction), their quality was above average.” Cissell said.

In addition, Cissell appreciated the level of detail Midwest maintained throughout their work. “The foreman was a very detailed individual and kept very solid notes and documentation of all project circumstances, changes, as-built conditions, and trade coordination. Midwest accommodated changing conditions, brought forward thinking throughout the project, as well as good teamwork with other members of the project team.”

Knowing that he could count on the Midwest team also gave Cissell peace of mind. “We always knew where we stood in terms of the schedule, change management, cost control, safety, and any other issue,” Cisell said.
